Mr & Mrs Stewart became Husband and Wife here at Batch Country House on Friday 21st September.
As Guests arrived they gathered in our garden room for drinks before making their way down to the Somerset Suite for the ceremony. Mr & Mrs Stewart were joined by fifty five loved ones to share the special occasion. The room was dressed to Pink and Navy to coordinate with the colour scheme for the day and looked great. After the ceremony everyone was greeted with a cider before braving the wind and making their way out for photos with the fantastic Dominic Lemoine Photography, who done a fantastic job capturing the day. Sadie looked absolutely beautiful as did all the bridal party.
Onto the Ivory Suite where the traditional speeches took place. After speeches guest were treated to an absolutely delicious three course meal cooked by our chefs. To start Duck liver pate with apricots and brandy served with mixed leafs and crusty bread or Fried Breaded wedges of Camembert with a red current sauce and salad. For the main course Rack of Somerset lamb on a bed of fluffy grain mustard mash with a port wine demi glaze sauce and fresh redcurrants , Individual Beef Wellington-Prime fillet of beef surrounded by homemade meat pate and puff pastry or, A Tasty Chicken breast with Thatcher’s Cider and sage sauce. Finally to finish, Caramelised Crème Brulee, Raspberry meringue roulade or a Trio of mini desserts.
On to the evening where the Bride and Groom were joined by more loved ones. Sadie and Matt done that all important first dance and cut the cake before everyone partied the night away with DJ Gerry Rushton. While our chefs served up a Yummy Hog Roast to keep everyone fuelled.
It was sure a fantastic time was had by all, huge congratulations from everyone here at Batch Country House.
